Comparing Apples To Apples

Have you ever gone to the grocery store to buy apples to make apple pie, apple sauce, or just to put in your child’s lunch and wondered which apples would be best?  There are so many different kinds and I know some are better for baking while others are better for eating.  But which is which?

Wonder no more!

I have asked myself (and the person in produce at the store) this question many times.  So I created this Apples To Apples chart which lists 9 different apples, what they are best for (eating, salads, pie, baked, sauce), and some added information about each one.  I hope this chart is useful the next time you are “apple” shopping.

You know that I can’t just give you healthy information without giving you a delicious, healthy recipe.  So I have included the link to this gluten-free Apple Gingerbread Cake recipe!  The apple sauce makes it so moist!

Bon Appetit!

Do you know which apples are best for baking, pies or just eating?
