Easy Berry Blender Sorbet

WANT AN EASY, DELICIOUS, SUMMER DESSERT BUT DON’T WANT ALL THE CALORIES? I HAVE THE PERFECT SUMMER, GUILT-FREE SOLUTION -> QUICK & EASY BLENDER SORBET!

Only a few simple ingredients and viola! It’s heaven in a bowl.

You can make this recipe in any blender or food processor you have, or consider investing in a Vitamix if you need one – it’s the most versatile tool in a healthy cook’s kitchen. It turns raw veggies into soup, makes nut butters, whips up healthy smoothies and has a ton of other benefits in the kitchen.

You can use any kind of berries you like just make sure they’re frozen. My favorite is mixed berry or raspberry because of the tartness.  Whip this up just before you are going to eat it to keep that fresh, frozen texture or you can also put it in the freezer for a few hours until ready to eat.

It’s lower calorie and has more protein than a bowl of ice cream plus it’s FULL of antioxidants and fiber. Feel free to have as often as you like.

Bon Appetit!

Easy Berry Blender Sorbet

Prep Time: 5 min
Total Time: 5 min
Serves 2 large servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups frozen berries, your choice (one 16 oz. bag)
  • 1 (5.3 oz.) container vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2-3 Tablespoons of milk, preferable organic
  • 1 packet of Stevia sweetener (about 1 1/2 tsp.)

Directions:

  1. Add the berries and yogurt to the blender and blend at a medium variable speed, taking about 10 seconds to increase to full speed. You may have to turn off the blender a couple of times to push the berries down.
  2. Add the Stevia sweetener and start with 1 Tablespoon of milk.
  3. Blend all ingredients together adding 1/2 Tablespoon of milk at a time until thoroughly combined and the texture is rich and creamy. Don’t over blend as the heat from mixing will melt the sorbet.
  4. Serve immediately in dessert glasses (Tip: martini glasses make excellent dessert glasses) and garnish with a few whole berries on the side and a few sprigs of fresh mint.
  5. If you want to get decadent, put a spoonful of my Coconut Whipped Cream on top!
  6. Enjoy your guilt-free Easy Berry Blender Sorbet!
